I’m not sure why it took me so long to invest in a trench coat, especially when trenches are such fashion staples for both spring and fall. I got my first trench in the beginning of the pandemic, it was an affordable, oversized trench coat from ASOS with large lapels and a cool vintage wash. Trench coats are so versatile, that purchase changed the dynamic of my wardrobe and how I dressed. I was in such a funk in the beginning of the pandemic, even when I has no intention of looking decent, putting on that trench coat automatically elevated my mood. And it gave me something that I needed in that moment which was to just feel good.
It’s crazy how one piece can change your look which can then in turn change your mood and outlook.
